The Red Cross Thinks I am Worth $275, My Wife Only $175

In an effort to boost blood donations this summer, the Pennsylvania-New Jersey region of the American Red Cross will be giving away one $25 Sunoco gas card per day to a lucky donor from now until 9/16/07. Given that the average adult male has approximately 5.5 quarts of blood and the typical donation amount is one pint, I am worth $275, but my wife, who as an average adult female has only 3.5 quarts of blood, is only worth $175. Sorry, Sweetpea, but thar be gold in these here veins! Seriously, though, donate blood and keep a vampire fed.
